Jacob A. Hubbard

Jacob A. Hubbard, son of Andrew and Rachael Hubbard was born May 2, 1853 near Booneville, Iowa. He was married to Elizabeth Gradner in 1881, she passing to the great beyond about a year later. In 1888 he was married to Mrs. Izabell Wallace, she passing away in 1916. On July 23, 1919 he was again united in marriage to Mrs. Delia C. Bunker of Los Angeles, Calif.

In 1886 Mr. Hubbard moved to Adair county where he lived until 1891 when he moved to a farm near Monteith and lived there until 1904 when he sold his farm and moved to another near Altamont, Missouri. In 1918 he came back to Iowa, locating on a farm near Des Moines and in 1928 moved to Greenfield, Iowa where on December 1, 1928 he passed away at the ripe age of 75 years, 6 months and 29 days.

He was of a family of 12 children, 1 sister Mrs. Ann Stockwell, of Urbana, III., two brothers, D. Hubbard, Bonneville, and Geo. W. Hubbard, Carrington, N. Dak., remain, while 3 sisters and 5 brothers have preceded him in death.

Mr. Hubbard was of a genial disposition and was happy when he could be of help to those around him. He leaves his wife, who has given him every care and who mourns his going, his stepson Clarence Wallace, of Trenton, Mo., a host of relatives and friends who will remember him for his kindly deeds.

Funeral services were held at the Monteith church, conducted by H. T. Clampitt, of Greenfield, who was an old time friend of Mr. Hubbard. Interment was at the
Monteith cemetery.
