Mass of the Resurection was celebrated in honor of Donald Watts, 68, of Redfield Tuesday at 9:30 a m. The service was held from St Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Panora with the pastor Rev Joseph Schulte, officiating. Interment was made in Guthrie Center.
A native of the Guthrie Center area, Mr Watts died of a heart attack Saturday morning. He was at home when stricken and died before reaching a hospital.
The Watts family had farmed in the Redfield community for many years until his retirement last spring.
His wife, the former Nellie Lyons of Bayard, survives as well as daughters, Mary Lou Watts, Abeline, Texas; Madeline, Cummins, Lisbon Center, Maine, and Maurine Watts, Redfield, and sons, Thomas and Timothy of Redfield. Also surviving are a grandson and a brother, Arthur of Yale and sisters, Julia Moylan of Bayard and Isabelle Laudel in California.
