The Bayard News Thursday, Sept. 13, 1973

Henry Harrison “Hank” Derry, 85-year-old retired farmer, died early Tuesday morning at the Bayard Care Center. He had been in failing health for more than a year.
Much of his life was spent in the Bagley community and he lived in Bagley until moving to the Care Center.
Final rites were scheduled for today at 10 a m at the Marchant Funeral Home in Yale. Eugene Lockling, evangelist at the Yale Church of Christ, officiated and interment was made in the Brethren cemetery near Panora. The casket was carried by Floyd Stanley, Edwin Vieltorf, Rudolph Vieltorf, Raymond Peters, Chet Derry and Lee Derry.
Mr Derry was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Pauline, and a son, Eldon Earl.
He is survived by daughters Nona Wilkoski, Baker, Mont; Jean Weinzeth, Fonda, and Merna Kinney, Linden, and a son, Darrell Derry of Riceville.
