Henry Winfield KIMM-Life Story of: Born-7 Jul 1868 Walford, IA Died-7 Sept 1952-Adair, Guthrie Co. IA. Funeral services for Henry W. Kimm, 84, who passed away on Sept 7, were conducted northwest of Adair, on Sept 9. Pallbearers were: Marvin, Richard, Max, Donald and Robert Marean, and Bernard Gittens. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, north of Kenfield. Henry Winfield Kimm was born July 7, 1868 at Walford, Benton Co IA, the son of Silas and Kathryn (Katharina Engel) Kimm. In 1893, he moved to Guthrie Co where he purchased a farm in the preceding years and where he lived the rest of his life. On October 3, 1893, he was married to Mathilda Martin, who preceded him in death on Nov 23, 1937. He attained the age of 84 years and 2 months. He leaves to mourn his departure, 3 sons, Silas, Clarence, and William, 4 daughters, Clarena Marean, Eva Marean, Grace Marean, and Dorothea Ruth; 2 sisters, Mrs Anna Smith of Waterloo, IA.; and Mrs Louisa Nelson of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, William Kimm of Independence, Iowa, and Edward Kimm of Norway, Iowa. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
