ASKS $25,000,
DISTRICT COURTA damage suit asking #25,000, the result of a tragic two-car crash near here May 25 in which two persons died, was filed in district court here this week. Plaintiff is Meindert H. Ullman, Titonka, father of the late Harriet Ullman, and defendant is C.H. Taylor, administrator of the estate of Truman Michael.
Michael was driver of one of the two cars involved in the crash, which occurred a mile north of Hobarton at the intersection of highway 18 and a blacktop highway. Driver of the other vehicle was Sheryl Jakoubek, Garner. Miss Ullman was a passenger in the Garner auto and the two girls, employed at Emmetsburg, were headed home for the weekend.
Mr. Michael died almost instantly and the Ullman girl died about two hours later at St. Ann hospital. Miss Jakoubek was also injured, but survived the crash.
The petition alleges the Michael auto failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the side of the other vehicle, resulting in the death of Miss Ullman.
