Menlo Man runs Over
Wolf with Car

C. W. Ruggles, of Menlo, driv-
ing a Chandler car full of young
folks, recently ran over and killed
a full grown wolf four miles west
of Winterset.

On a good bit of road the wolf
jumped out of a ditch and started
down the grade. Ruggles "stepped
on it" to give a chase and a wolf
blinded by the lights or scared by
the changing shadows stuck to the
road. The Chandler got the wolf
before it got many roads.
