Mrs. Kromminga Dies at Ackley
The funeral of Mrs. Anna Kromminga, of Ackley, who died Sunday of last week, were held Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Kromminga, who was born in Hardin county nearly 74 years ago, always had resided in Ackley or vicinity.
In 1875 she was married to Ontje Kromminga. Two of their four daughters, Mrs. Martha DeBeer and Hilka, with her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by four sons, Amos and John, Austinville; Henry and Ben, Ackley, and two daughters, Mrs. Sena Benninga, Raymond, Minn., and Miss Anetta, of Independence; also by 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and 2 brothers; Mrs. Martha Garrick, Austinville; Mrs. Jennie Roberts, Hampton; Miss Nancy Zook, Clear Lake.
The funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. at the family home in Ackley by Rev. J. M. Krafft, pastor of First Evangelical church, and at the Holland Reformed church, four miles east of Ackley, where Rev. A. D. Valkema assisted in the services. Interment was in the cemetery adjoining the church.
