Herbert Meinders, died on August 20, 1912 at the age of 17 years and 7 days. He was born August 13, 1895 at Gladbrook, Iowa and came ten years ago with his parents to Grundy Center, Iowa.

During his childhood he was never well and had to spend most of his time in the house. He only went out when his parents or brothers and sisters could take him, in the wagon or car. He was not permitted to enjoy many of the good things others take for granted.

Four brothers and 3 sisters preceded him in death. O how hard it is to bear when death comes to the family. Only our trust in God can help in this difficult hour.

He leaves behind his sorrowing parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

May the lord comfort the survivors.
May these words of I Corinthians bring us comfort: "Where, death, is your victory?"
Where, death is your sting?"
