Terrence "Terry" Oliver Town, passed away on August 26, 2024. He was born to Fair Etlyan Town and Bethel Eleanor (Tandberg/Harwell) Town on July 19, 1947, in Spooner, Wisconsin.
He spent most of his childhood in Rice Lake, WI before moving to Milo, IA where he graduated from SE Warren HS, class of 1966. Upon hearing of his passing his classmates made a donation in his honor to the SE Warren Dollars for Scholars Fund.
Terry married Linda Lea Adams on May 9, 1970. Their son, Brady Oliver Town, was born May 4, 1981. Terry and Linda owned and ran the Town House restaurant in Wellsburg, IA, where Terry eventually became sole proprietor until his death.
Terry was known for his tenderloin awards from the IOWA Pork Association, the City of Waterloo and the Best Food Vendor at the Clay County Fair, in Spencer, Iowa where His tenderloins were very popular for numerous years.
Terry will be missed for his amazing cooking skills, building and racing cars, his experiments with substitute fuels, and his philosophical search for truth.
He is survived by his former wife, Linda Adams Town, son Brady (Dawn) Town, his brother Les (Pat) Town, and his two sisters, Charlotte (Kent) Beseke and Mary Lou (Joe) Spurgeon, three nieces, and 2 nephews.
