Faye L. "Banty" Lowe, 88, of Grundy Center, died Monday, January 11, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital, Grundy Center.

She was born September 28, 1921, in Grundy County, daughter of Jack and Daisy McCurdy McIntyre. She married Verne Lowe August 23, 1941, and they were later divorced.

Faye was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son Jim (Mary) Lowe and a daughter Jackie Becker all of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Angie (Chris) Dolan, Pam (Mike) O'Connor, Jay, Jeff, and Jon Becker; five great-grandchildren; a special brother, Dale "Duke" (Mary) McIntyre of Reinbeck; and three sisters.

Preceded in death by a son-in-law Dwayne Becker and five brothers and two sisters.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation. Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway assisted the family.
