Last Rites Held For Tracy Jones

Tracy Jones, 86, of Reinbeck, passed away Wednesday evening, October 30, at the Grundy County Memorial hospital where he had been a patient since the previous Sunday. He was admitted to the hospital following a heart attack suffered that day at the home of his son, Ralph, near Dike.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the United Church of Christ in Reinbeck. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery.

Mr. Jones was born December 8, 1881, in Cowden, Ill., the son of William and Susan Jones. He was married to Ethel Thompson, November 11, 1914. The family farmed in the Grundy Center, Morrison-Reinbeck area until he retired from farming in 1948 and moved into Reinbeck.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Simeon (Hazel) Frikken of Roseville, Mich., three sons, Harold, Rialto, Calif., and Ralph and Roscoe, of Reinbeck, and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and one son. He was the last in the family of nine children.
