Miss Myra Jensen recently received a letter from L. R. Godden, of Brooklyn, N.Y., stating that his mother had died a short time ago. The body was cremated and he took the ashes to Fresno, Calif., for burial. He stopped enroute at Deming, New Mexico, and had an Eastern Star funeral, of which his mother was a member and his deceased sister, Mrs. L. A. Morris, formerly worthy matron there, and also saw his brother, Morris Godden. From there he went to Fresno with the ashes and were buried beside the daughter, Mrs. L. A. Morris, formerly Kate Godden. L. R. Godden, who was in the Government service and stationed at Brooklyn, N.Y., is now retired and located at Vancouver, Washington. The Godden family were residents of Morrison some years ago.
