It is with deep sorrow that we chronical the death of Joseph Melville Snow who for many weary days was confined to his bed of sickness from which he never rose again. He was born in Morrison, Sept. 27, 1883, and died April 7, 1903. All unite in saying he was an exemplary young man and was loved by all who knew him. The blow falls heavily on his parents who had hoped so earnestly for his recovery. He has passed away but his memory still lives in the hearts of his friends. He will be sadly missed by the band of which he was a member. No one was more faithful than he in the discharge of the duties devolving upon him. The band beautifully uniformed followed the body to its last resting place, as a mark of respect for their friend. Rev. A. Rederus of the Presbyterian church preached the sermon and Rev. H. B. Dye, the former pastor, spoke briefly of his acquaintance with the young man and of his good qualities of heart.
