Mrs. L. A. Moyer, Lifetime Resident of Morrison, Dies

Mrs. Lemuel A. Moyer, life-long resident of Morrison, died early Thursday morning at her home there after an illness of two years. She had been a sufferer from arthritis and had been at the University hospital in Iowa City several times for operations and treatments to combat that disease but with no avail. Three weeks ago she was brought home from the hospital but had failed to gain in strength.

Mrs. Moyer's maiden name was Gertrude Snow. She was born in Morrison Nov. 28, 1880[sic], and lived in that community her entire life. She is survived by her husband and five children. These are Melville, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Ruth Keno, Chicago; Mrs. Eirie Raisty, Allison; and William and Allen at home.

She is also survived by two brothers and one sister: Andrew Snow, Lake Park, Iowa; Elmer Snow, Bakersfield, Calif.; and Mrs. May Holt, Peoria, Ill.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Morrison Presbyterian church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. L. Whitmore. Burial was in the Morrison cemetery.
