Whitten Resident Dead

After having suffered several years with asthma and heart disease, John Olmstead, a well-known old resident of Whitten, died Saturday morning at his home. Mr. Olmstead had been seriously ill for two weeks. He was 69 years old.

A wife and nine children survive their husband and father. The children are Mesdames Lilliet Poyner and Emma Bucholz of Eugene, Ore.; Ruth Dowler, of Peru, and Floyd Lyon, and Byron Schriver, of this place; Leo and Ezra Olmstaed, of Whitten; Edmund of Des Moines and Albert Olmstead, of Foreman, N.D.
