John Aman, 72, Whitten, Dies

Whitten--John Aman, 72, a resident of the Central Iowa area since 1911, died at his home at 12:20 a.m. Thursday after a four-month illness. Services are being arranged at the Biersborn Funeral Home in Union.

Mr. Aman was born Sept. 16, 1881, in North Carolina and was married there to Emmy Lou David, May 28, 1905. They lived in Union, Grundy Center and Marshalltown before moving to Whitten 20 years ago.

Surviving are the widow and eight children: Roma and Harvey, near Whitten; Norman, Marshalltown; Mrs. Lloyd Wagner, Grundy Center; Mrs. Magnus Egan, Charles City; Mrs. Donald Stout, Hudson; Mrs. Irvin Ryken, Ackley; Mrs. James Cronk, Pocahontas.
