Henry Nordmyer, a brother of Mrs. Chris Miller and Mrs. Fred Baade, died suddenly Wednesday at 4 p.m. Mr. Nordmyer was a young man about 35 years old and single. He came here Monday from Grand Mound for a short visit. He had been in town Wednesday forenoon, but returned to Fred Baade's where he had been stopping. In the afternoon D. Baade came along on his way to Mrs. Chris Miller's and Nordmyer said he would get into the wagon and go along, but as he was intoxicated he preferred to lie down in the wagon. He said he did not want his sister to see him drunk. They drove a distance of three miles with the deceased lying in the wagon. Upon arriving at Mrs. Miller's, Mr. Baade hitched his team and went into the house, leaving him lying in the wagon. In a half-hour Mr. Baade returned to the wagon and found him dead. He was buried Friday in the cemetery northeast of town.
