Sandra Kay (Snapp) Ellington, of Waterloo, passed away on March 5, 2020. Sandra was born in Waterloo on December 28, 1954 to Lowell and Irene Snapp. In 1973, she graduated from East High. She worked at Lafayette Laundry for 15 years. On February 26, 2020, Sandra retired. Sandra loved caring for her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and adored helping and watching her nieces and nephews.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by three daughters, Christy (Jimmy “Chopper”) Phillips of Waterloo, Monica (Donald “Red”) Black of Waterloo, and Amy (Jamy) Smith of Waterloo; three brothers, Duane Snapp of Raymond, Dale (Terrie) Snapp of Vinton, and Danny (Cathy) Snapp of Evansdale; two sisters Deb (Danny) Snyder of Dunkerton and Donna Swanton of Evansdale; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Following the service, burial will occur at Sheller Cemetery in Grundy Center.
