Cedar Falls--LeRoy V. Landau, 71, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, July 29, at Sartori Memorial Hospital from complications of cancer.

He was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Dike, son of Jerome Vernon and Emily Posekany Landau. He married Mary Lou Sanders on June 26, 1949, in West Liberty. She died Sept. 15, 1989.

He was a graduate of College High School, Cedar Falls, in 1943. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a machinist and an inspector for Viking Pump Inc., in Cedar Falls.

Survived by: a son, Jeff of Cedar Falls; and a daughter, Tami Ehlers Bess of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Matson of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: his wife; and a brother, Carl.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Dike, where military rites will be conducted by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday.
