Memorial Services For H. Pedersen, Sat.
Memorial services were held last Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls for Harold J. Pedersen, 57, of Waterloo.
Mr. Pedersen of 800 Ansborough Ave., Waterloo died of a heart attack at 7:35 a.m. last Thursday morning at his home.
The Rev. Homer Larsen, pastor, officiated at the services. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery in Dike.
Harold Pedersen was born Aug. 15, 1915, in Las Tunas, Cuba to Hans K. and Ottilie Haugaard Pedersen.
He was a machinist at Waterloo John Deere Tractor Works and formerly farmed in the Waterloo-Dike area. He was married to LaRue Keeley. They were later divorced.
He was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church and Local 838 of United Workers Union.
Survivors include one son, Ray Pedersen of Urbana, Illinois; one daughter, Mrs. Paul Danielsen of 2416 Victory Drive, Cedar Falls; one brother, Pete Pedersen of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Groote of Reinbeck and Mrs. Howard Lynch of Gladbrook; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls were in charge of the arrangements.
