Cedar Falls--Lois M. Bruns, 87 of Mallard Point in Cedar Falls, formerly of Dike died at home December 2, 2007.

She was born August 26, 1920, in rural Dike, Iowa, the daughter of John "Otto" and Alma Petersen Nielsen. She married Gerald Bruns November 6, 1941 in Glenmora, Louisana. He died April 18, 1989. She worked as bookkeeper at the Farmers Co-op in Dike and then was employed as a secretary at Dike High School for over 25 years.

Survived by: her daughter Beverly (Arthur) Lupkes of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Nielsen, Agnes Nielsen, and Alice Mae Roberts; and three brothers, two in infancy and Russell Nielsen.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Fredsville Lutheran Church, rural Cedar Falls, with interment in the Elmwood Cemetery, Dike. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls and one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to Fredsville Lutheran Church or Dike United Methodist Church.
