Terry Biersner Services Held

Terry Biersner, of Dike, died on Sunday, November 3, 1996, in Morrison, as a result of an automobile accident, having attained the age of 29 years, four months and 20 days.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Dike. Pallbearers were Brad Sherwood, Chris Bolhuis, Fred Bolhuis, Bob Biersner, Clark Dirks, Leon Dirks and Neal Dirks. Burial followed in the Elmwood Cemetery in Dike.

Terry was born on June 13, 1967, the son of James and Berdene (Dirks) Biersner in the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center. He graduated from Dike Community Schools in May of 1986. Terry was employed at Smitty's Tire and Appliance in Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, W. H. and Berendina Dirks and his paternal grandfather, Allie Biersner.

Survivors include his parents, James and Berdene Biersner of Dike, two brothers, James, Jr. and his wife Judy of Cedar Falls and Tim and his wife, Barb, of Boone; two nephews Brodie and Lucas Biersner; three nieces, Samantha, Bailee and Bridget Biersner; paternal grandmother, Esther Biersner of Dike and several aunts and uncles.

The Dike Funeral Chapel in Dike was in charge of the arrangements.
