Elizabeth Herbison Taken by Death

Cedar Falls--Mrs. Elizabeth Herbison, 76, widow of John Herbison, died at her home at 116 1/2 Main street late Sunday. She had been an invalid and was bedfast for the past year and 10 months. She had been a resident of Cedar Falls for 10 years.

She was born Feb. 7, 1878, at Broughdone, Ireland, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Miller. She was married to John Herbison in August, 1904, at Balleymena, Ireland.

They came to the United States in April, 1909, locating at Reinbeck, Ia., near where they farmed for many years. She was a member of the Dike Methodist church.

Her husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son and daughter, Adam John Herbison, 116 1/2 Main street, and Mrs. Isabell Kettwig, 1937 Clay street. There are four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Final rites are pending. The body is at the Dahl Funeral Home.

Herbison Rites Wed.

Cedar Falls--Final rites for Mrs. John C. Herbison, who died here Monday, will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dahl funeral home, conducted by the Rev. James Bird. Mrs. Herbison is survived by her husband, a daughter, and son. The daughter is Mrs. Louis Kettwig, and the son is Adam Herbison, both of Cedar Falls.
