She married David Tobias on June 12th, 1881 at Klingerstown, Pennsylvania. Nine children were born to this union, three of them died in infancy. D. of Roy, Montana and Elmer P. at home, together with six grandchildren and five brothers and two sisters are left to mourn.

In the spring of 1882 the family moved to Minnesota and in the fall of the same year they came to Waterloo. They spent some eight years at Gresham near Waterloo, and in the spring of 1882 they moved to Hudson where they lived till the fall of 1903 when they moved to Dike, where they have since made their home.

For the last eight or nine years, Mrs. Tobias had not been in good health. She had four operations for removal of tumors. The last operation in March, 1917.

About ten days before her death she fell and so injured herself that it was necessary for her to take to her bed. Peritonitis developed and death came to relieve her of her sufferings at about 12 o'clock on Thursday, May 31st.

She had realized the last few days that there was small chance of her recovery and became reconciled to the fact. She talked over matters concerning her death and the family affairs with the members of the family most of whom were privileged to be with her in the last days of her life here among them.
