D. G. Lynn Dies Following Stroke

David G. Lynn, age 53, died at 10 o'clock Friday evening at the Sartori hospital in Cedar Falls, following a stroke he suffered a few hours earlier. He never regained consciousness.

He was born September 16, 1900, near Reinbeck, the son of David and Cora Lynn.

He served in France during the first World War.

On September 27, 1922, he was married to Miss Anne Madsen of Cedar Falls at the Little Brown church at Nashua, and they made their home in Dike.

Mr. Lynn was employed as yard foreman at the Townsend and Merrill Lumber Co. in Dike for over 25 years.

He leaves besides his widow, two children, Mrs. Gene McBride of Independence and Willis Lynn of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren, Mark, Tommy and Lisa McBride of Independence and Becky Lynn, Cedar Falls; two brothers, William of Cedar Falls, and Harold of Winthrop; seven sisters, Mrs. Jennie Engel, Dike; Mrs. Harvey Krumlinde, Floyd; Mrs. Myrtle Nuzum, Dumont; Mrs. Hazel Miller, Wellsville, Ohio; Mrs. James Willsey, Kearney, Neb.; Mrs. Fred VanTassel, Parkersburg; and Mrs. Carl Damm, Waterloo.

He was a member of the Dike Methodist church and the American Legion Dike Post 471.

Funeral services were held at the Dike Methodist church Monday afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. L. J. Runion officiating and burial was in the Dike cemetery.

Casket bearers were all nephews of Mr. Lynn. They were Clifford Damm and James Damm of Waterloo, Kenneth Krumlinde of Cedar Falls, Richard Krumlinde of Charles City and Ross Engel and Lynn Engel of Dike.
