Sally Rindels Services Held

Sally Loy Rindels, of Dike, formerly of Cedar Falls, passed away Saturday, March 18, at Covenant Medical Center in Cedar Falls of heart failure, having attained the age of 43 years, 4 months and 3 days.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 21, at the United Methodist Church in Dike at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Thelma Subramanian officiating. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery, Dike.

Pallbearers were Jacob Huff, Corey Fanton, Blu McFarlane, Stacy McFarlane, Ryan Block and Craig Fanton.

Sally Diane Rindels was born November 15, 1951, in Waterloo, the daughter of Kenneth and Jennaven (Peters) Loy. She grew up and received her education in the Cedar Falls area, graduating from Cedar Falls High School with the Class of 1970. She then attended Gates Business College in Waterloo.

On March 30, 1974, Sally was united in marriage to Dennis D. Rindels at the United Methodist Church in Dike They made their home in rural Dike. Sally was employed for a time at River Hills in Cedar Falls, then provided day care for children in her home.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dike. Her hobbies included country crafts, collecting cow paraphernalia, and entertaining family and friends.

Left to mourn Sally's passing are her husband, Dennis; 1 daughter, Kari, and 1 son, Kyle, both at home; her parents, Kenneth and Jennaven Loy of Cedar Falls; and 4 sisters, Colleen Fanton and husband Craig of Waterloo, Nancy Klinger and husband James of Omaha, Nebraska, Patricia Huff and husband, Michael, and Diane McFarlane and husband Monty, all of Cedar Falls.

The Dike Funeral Chapel, Dike, was in charge of the funeral services.
