Benjamin DeVries

Funeral services for Benjamin DeVries, 61, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of the Ackley area, who died Dec. 29 at Denver General Hospital, were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Sikkema, pastor of the Austinville Christian Reformed Church officiated. Interment was in the Ackley Christian Reformed Cemetery, east of Ackley. The Elliott-Keninger Legion Post conducted graveside services.

Mrs. Alvin Johnson was organist and soloist was Kay Yandall. Pallbearers were Merlin Lupkes, Harold Karsjens, Daniel Karsjens, John Anderson, Daryl Anderson and Rodney Anderson.

Mr. DeVries is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Sorg of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Bonnie Rushmord of Green Mountain Falls, Colo., and Mrs. Linda Motoga of Pueblo, Colo.; two sons, Jerry of Reinbeck and Benjamin Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Gertie Abbas of Ackley, Mrs. Emma Hermann of Prescott, Ariz. and Mrs. Alice Janssen of Ames.
