William H. Grimm Sr.

William H. Grimm Sr., 67, 845 Logan Ave., died at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart attack.

He was born in Howard County, Oct. 16, 1897, the son of Charles and Lisette Grimm. On June 28, 1934, he married Jeanette Miller in Anamosa. Mr. Grimm was employed by the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works until his retirement three years ago. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow; one son, William Jr., 333 Reed St.; one daughter, Mrs. Janice Rasmussen, 700 Newton St.; four grandchildren; two brothers, Leo, of Des Moines, and Charles, of Chester; and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Kapler, Charles City, and Mrs. Minnie Hovey, Austin, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services are pending at the Locke Funeral Home where friends may call after noon Thursday.

Funeral services for William H. Grimm, Sr., 67, of 845 Logan Ave., will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Immanual Lutheran church. The Rev. Eugene Kramer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Stout cemetery, Stout. The casket will be taken from the Locke Funeral Home to the church at noon Saturday. Friends may call at the church until service-time. The casket will not be open following the service.
