Memorial services for Iva M. Terry, 85, of Kimberling City, will be held at 10 a.m. June 1, 2015, at Stumpff Funeral Chapel in Kimberling City with Pastors Jerry Jenkins and Dale Kester officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South in Kimberling City.

She died May 25, 2015, in Kimberling City.

Iva was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Wellsburg, Iowa, daughter of Ben and Flora Kuper Aukes. She attended the Evangelical United Methodist Church that her grandfather, D. E. Aukes organized and which is still an active church. She attended German Valley rural school and graduated Wellsburg High School. She lived on farms in Iowa and South Dakota. She moved to Wichita, Kan., to attend Jr. College and worked in finance for a roofing company and Lear Jet Aircraft. She married Chuck Terry in 1970. She and her husband moved to Kimberling City in 1973 and started working at Silver Dollar City until 1991, retiring due to health reasons. She worked many county elections, was a member of the Elks Lodge 2505 and member of the Branson United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Harm Aukes; sisters Marion Kuper, Lorene Evert and Lois Bakker; and two great-grandchildren Kitt Weathers and Cobie Barnes.

Survivors include her husband; sons Max Slieter and wife Sherrie, of Park City, Kan. and Jeffery Slieter and wife Lorita, of Wichita, Kan.; daughters Bonnie Harrison and husband Stan, of Kimberling City and Josie Slieter, of Nixa; stepsons Charles Terry Jr., of Concord, Calif., and Robert Terry and wife Marion, of Antioch, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Kimberling City, MO, Branson United Methodist Church, Branson, MO or the Elks Lodge 2505 Kimberling City, MO.
