Ivester Rites For Mrs. Ethel Snapp
Funeral services were held Thursday morning for Mrs. Ethel Snapp, 70, who died Monday at the Eldora Community Hospital.
Officiating at the services, which were held at the Ivester Church of the Brethren, was Rev. John Ditmars. Russell Krause was vocalist with Mrs. Howard Cakerice.
Mrs. Ernest Draper and Mrs. Elvin Harms were in charge of flowers, with arrangements being made by Andrle and Creps Funeral Home.
Interment was in the Sheller Cemetery with Lynn Bausman, Harold Hogle, Marvin Walker, Ernest Draper, Elvin Harms and Glen Moats as casket bearers.
Mrs. Snapp was born April 4, 1897 at Peoria, Ill., to Elmer and Louise Wolfe. Moving to Iowa at an early age, she was a life-long resident of the Steamboat Rock and Eldora communities.
She was united in marriage December 10, 1920 to John Snapp who preceded her in death in 1963.
Survivors include one son, Merton Snapp, Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. William Walpin, Canoga Park, Calif.; Mrs. Ronald Carney, Parkville, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Snapp of Eldora; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
