Elmer Wolfe Dies Suddenly At Home Sunday Morning

Elmer Wolfe died quite suddenly at his home in Melrose township Sunday morning from heart failure. He had been in poor health the past three years. He felt better than usual Sunday morning and ate a good breakfast. Shortly after that he was stricken with a heart attack and died within an hour.

Mr. Wolfe was 68 years old. The greatest part of his active life was spent as a farmer in Melrose township. He came there from Nebraska. He was twice married. His first wife died a few years after the family moved to Grundy county.

There are three children from the first marriage and three from the second marriage, who together with the wife survive. Children from the first marriage are Mrs. John Snapp, Mrs. Herman Snapp and Roy Wolfe. Children from the second marriage are Olive, Charlotte and Marjorie, all of whom are at home.

Funeral services were held at the Ivester church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the local pastor, Rev. Earl Frantz, in charge. Burial was in the Ivester cemetery.
