Craig John "Chuck" Thede, 53, of Frisco, Texas, formerly of Reinbeck, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Texas. Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck. Burial will be held privately by the family at the Reinbeck Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Craig was born on February 29, 1964 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to his parents Kenneth and Irma (Neil) Thede. Craig graduated from the Reinbeck High School in the class of 1982. He then went on to earn his Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1991.

Craig was employed at Pioneer International for almost 20 years. There he worked his way up within the company and became a safety professional. Craig then worked as the Safety Director for Soil Express in Texas. He then gained the JC Penny account for CBRE, where he was the Health, Safety & Environment Manager. Craig was also very proud to have earned his certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

Craig was married to Debra Day in 1990 and together they welcomed their daughter Coral and son Seth into their family. They later divorced. He then was remarried to Clutie Graham on December 18, 2016.

Craig was a life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck. He was a Minnesota Twins & Green Bay Packers fan and a proud UNI Alumnus. He also loved to play golf, was the “life of the party” and made friends wherever he went. He was known as the “problem solver” always offering helpful solutions to all who sought his advice. His true passion in life was his career in Safety Management.

Craig is survived by his parents Kenneth and Irma Thede; wife Clutie Graham; daughter Coral Thede; son Seth (Jordan) Thede; granddaughters Madalynn & Paige Thede; siblings Kathy Beenken, Mike Thede, Carol Thede, Connie Thede, Jerry Thede and Jim Thede; many nieces and nephews; step-sons Nick & Max Graham and many co-workers and friends throughout the years.
