Anna A. Rittgers, 95, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the home.

She was born August 8, 1914, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Niels and Anna Marie Hansen Rasmussen. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and attended Gates Business School. On September 6, 1941, she was united in marriage to Lester F. Rittgers in Cedar Falls. He died August 11, 2008. She and her husband farmed in rural Cedar Falls from 1947 until their retirement.

Survivors include; two sons, Lee (Sandy) Rittgers of Cedar Falls and Larry (Suzy) Rittgers, also of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Lois Stork of New Hartford, Mary (Tom) Kies of Jesup and Lynn (John) Korecki of Umpqua, OR; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by seven brothers, one in infancy, Peter, Rasmus, Hans, Niels, Carl and Ernest Rasmussen; and three sisters, Mary Pederson, Emilie Rasmussen and Alma Pedersen.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with interment in the Fairfield Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls and also one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
