Early Saturday morning at his home occurred the death of Samuel Griffith, age 71, after an illness of several months' duration. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home, Rev. B. A. Davis in charge. Burial was in Fairfield cemetery. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, two sons, three daughters and a number of grandchildren.
