Mrs. Lambert Hemmen Funeral Was Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Lambert Hemmen, 35, who died Thursday afternoon of pneumonia, were held Monday afternoon at the Eastfriesland Presbyterian church in charge of Rev. Calvin F. Siemsen. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hemmen was born Fanny Folkerts March 9, 1904, in Germany and came to the United States with her parents when she was nine years old. The family settled in this community. Fifteen years ago she married Lambert Hemmen and the couple made their home in this vicinity until a year ago when they moved to a farm east of Cleves. Surviving are eight children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Folkerts of Aplington, one brother and one sister.

Hemmen Rites At Ackley Mon.

Ackley--Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the East Friesland church by the Rev. Calvin Siemsen for Mrs. Lambert Hemmen, 35, who died of the flu at her home Thursday.

Mrs. Hemmen was born Fannie Folkers in Germany, March 9, 1904, coming to this country with her parents when nine years old. She was married 15 years ago to Lambert Hemmen.

In addition to her husband she leaves eight children, the oldest 12 years of age and the youngest, one year; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Folkerts, of Aplington; a sister, Anna, at home; and a brother, Frank, at Abbott.
