LeAnn (Eiten) Kooi, 61

Mrs. LeAnn (Eiten) Kooi, 61, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away Thursday, Jan. 25.

Funeral and committal services were held Monday, Jan.29 at 1 p.m. at Fifth Reformed Church, Grand Rapids, MI, with Rev. Dick Doeden and Rev. Verlyn Verbrugge officiating. Interment was at Fairplains Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Drive-In Church, Grand Rapids, MI or Timothy Christian School, Wellsburg, IA 50680.

She was born in Eldora, Hardin County, on October 17, 1939. After attending Timothy Christian School, she completed Wellsburg High School with the Class of 1958. She also completed two years at Calvin College, Grand Rapids, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred H. (July 1991) and Gertrude (Eekhoff) Eiten (November 1992) and her brother, Arnold (February 1990).

She is survived by her husband Jerry, their two children Marjo and Mark Kremkow, Jeff and Margaret Kooi; four grandsons, Robert and Mitchell Kooi, Brandon and Jared Kremko; two brothers, Harold and Julene Eiten, formerly of Steamboat Rock, Floyd and Myrna Eiten of Wellsburg, one sister-in-law, Nola Eiten of Wellsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
