Gary Boeke, 71

Gary Boeke, 71, of Cresco passed away January 12, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services were held January 16 at First Lutheran Church in Cresco.

Gary Neil Boeke was born on September 24, 1934 to Martin and Margaret (Sater) Boeke. He attended Wellsburg Community School, graduating from high school in 1952. Gary continued his education at the University of Iowa, achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1956. After graduation he began practicing pharmacy in his father's drugstore in Wellsburg. In 1957, Gary purchased the Layton Drug Store in Cresco, operating it as Boeke Pharmacy until 1988. On August 12, 1956, he was married to Gwen Johnson.

Gary is survived by his wife, Gwen, and his sons, Jeffrey (Suzanne), Gregg (Lisa), Sam (Dean Guerdet), Michael (Tammi), and DC Randle (Colleen).

He was preceded in death by his parents.
