Ruth Reints Services Held

Ruth Reints, a resident of Maple Manor Nursing Home in Aplington, died Saturday, March 5, at the Nursing Home. She reached the age of 71 years, 4 months and 21 days.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, in the Hitesville Gospel Hall rural Aplington with Mr. Paul Elliott officiating.

Interment was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.

Ruth Van Lengen Reints was born on October 12, 1922, in Aplington. She graduated from the Wellsburg High School in 1941.

On April 22, 1944, Ruth was united in marriage to Roy Reints in the Second Christian Reformed Church in Wellsburg. They lived in Waterloo and Washburn. Ruth did baby sitting and child care for several years.

Roy died on November 21, 1978, and three months later, Ruth became a resident of the Maple Manor Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Reints and an infant son.

Ruth is survived by her mother, Jennie Ross, formerly of Wellsburg and now of Grundy Center.

Schwartz Funeral Chapel of Aplington was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
