3 Die Thursday At Reinbeck

Three Reinbeck people died last Thursday.

Elizabeth DeVries
Mrs. Elizabeth DeVries died at her home in Reinbeck. Death was due to old age and complications. She was 83. She was born in Ostfriesland, Germany, Jan. 20th, 1869.

She came to America in 1887 and was married to Tobias DeVries June 9, 1887. All her married life was spent at Reinbeck except 10 years at Fredericksburg; leaves 10 children, Mrs. Ella Stirley, Mrs. Margaret Mattke, Tobias, Jr., Mrs. Hiska Volberding, Mrs. Marie Malzahn, and Jacobus, all living in California; Warntje, in Washington state; Mrs. Elizabeth Garmatz, in Colorado; Mrs. Henrietta Schurkey, Fredericksburg; and Martin, in Hawaii; a brother, John, Fredericksburg, and a sister, Mrs. Lammert Ulik, Latimer.
