Rites Monday For Fred Schmidt

Funeral services for Fred Schmidt, 70, Reinbeck farmer, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Reinbeck Methodist church with the Rev. Vern Panzer, in charge. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery.

Mr. Schmidt died suddenly last Friday while doing chores at his farm north of Reinbeck. He had suffered from a heart ailment the last five years.

He was born June 9, 1883, at Rockford, and married Ella Koch in March, 1916.

Surviving are the widow; two children, Mrs. Roy Dudolski of Waterloo and Mrs. Carroll Freed of Grundy Center; one brother, Ed of Rockford; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Runft of Reinbeck, Mrs. Ralph Sykes of Rockford and Mrs. Adolph Daake of Charles City and four grandchildren.
