Death Summons Mrs. Titia Fisher
Titia Koolman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Koolman, was born in Hanover, Germany, July 4, 1872, and passed away March 15, 1944, at her home in Ackley. She came to America about 1879, living practically her entire life in this country. She was united in marriage on March 18, 1890, to Fred Fisher, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1930. The family lived on a farm in Hardin county, southeast of Cleves, until 1929, when they moved to Ackley. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the East Friesland Presbyterian Church. Those who survive to mourn her death are four sons: John of Toledo, Iowa, Joe of Ackley, and Julius and Arend of Wellsburg; four daughters: Mrs. Claus Janssen and Mrs. Martha Primus of Steamboat Rock, and Marie and Frieda Fisher, at home; also one sister, Mrs. Christina Janssen, Danbury, Wisconsin, and 19 grandchildren. Three other children preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Saturday, March 18, at the home, and immediately following at Eastfriesland Presbyterian Church, in charge of Rev. C. F. Siemsen, assisted by Rev. A. Rumbaugh.
