Obituary

Died--At his home in Grundy Center, Ia. on Wednesday, November 16th, 1887, of tumor of the spleen, Mr. Adam Stollar, aged 56 years.

Adam Stollar was born in Mohawk, Montgomery county, New York, July 17th, 1831, and was married to Miss Anna Wilson of Mohawk, August 5th, 1857. Mr. and Mrs. Stollar moved to Waterloo, Ia., the same year of their marriage, where he engaged in the dry goods business for a short time; after which they moved back to New York where they lived for a year and then they returned to Iowa and Mr. Stollar engaged in the grain business at Tama City for a short time, and afterward moved to Chelsea, then to Holland, and in 1877 to Grundy Center, where he lived until his death.

Mr. Stollar was of a quiet and ? nature, and did not make many acquaintances, but always attending strictly to business up to within the last year, when on account of poor health he was compelled to give up. He was a good citizen, kind neighbor and a devoted and loving husband and father. He leaves a wife and two daughters to mourn their loss.

The funeral services were conducted by Re. W. A. Pottle, from ?, last Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, after which the remains were taken to Rose Hill cemetery and laid to rest.

The bereaved family have the sympathy of this community in their bereavement.
