Carrie Paterni, 79

Carrie Louise Paterni, 79, of Parkersburg, died October 25. Funeral services were October 28 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Parkersburg. Burial was in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery.

Carrie was born the daughter of Ubbe and Effie (Cordes) Marks on May 10, 1924. She received her education in a country school near her home. For a time she worked at Hinson Manufacturing in Waterloo.

On September 5, 1945, Carrie was united in marriage with Richard Paterni. They made their home and farmed near Wellsburg and later moved and farmed near Stout. For many years Carrie worked at Polly's Cafe in Parkersburg.

Carrie is survived by two sisters, three sisters-in-law, Annie Paterni of Grundy Center, Frieda Paterni and Ruth Paterni, both of Wellsburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one daughter.
