Isabelle Charmaine Venenga, 98, of New Hartford, Iowa died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Maple Manor Village in Aplington, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in New Hartford, Iowa. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in New Hartford, Iowa and one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements were made with Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center, Iowa.

Isabelle Charmaine Hess, daughter of Robert and Gladys Newell Hess was born south of Wellsburg, Iowa on May 15, 1918. She graduated from Wellsburg High School. She married Roy Venenga on February 14, 1939 in Grundy Center, Iowa. They spent their married lives farming in Grundy, Hardin and the majority of the time in Butler County. Isabelle was a very hard worker. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, quilting, cooking, baking and sewing. She was the 4-H leader for the Busy Beavers 4-H Club for 10 plus years. She especially enjoyed watching and spending time with her grandkids, great grandkids, great-great grandson and her family.

She is survived by her son, Jerry (Jacky) Venenga of New Hartford, Iowa; daughters, Linda (Kent) Cuvelier also of New Hartford, Donna (David) Brown of Palmer, Alaska; son Keith (Becky) Venenga of Denver, Iowa; four grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother.

In addition to her parents, Isabelle was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Venenga; one brother and two sisters.
