Kevin Lee Rowley, 60, of Grundy Center, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kevin was born on September 11, 1957 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to his parents Merle and Sally (Zimmerman) Rowley. Kevin was raised and educated in the Marshalltown area and graduated from Marshalltown High School in the class of 1976. He then received a football and track scholarship to Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Cornell College, where he was a member of the OWLS fraternity. Kevin was the owner and operator of Kevin’s Antiques for over 30 years.

Kevin’s passion in life was his business in antiques; however, he also enjoyed spending time fishing and supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Kevin is survived by his mother Sally Sharp; children Alyson (Todd) Tuttle & Jacob Rowley; step-children Heather Board & Blake Way; friend Marcia Roll; 7 grandchildren; sisters Mary Schumann; Deb Beem & Diana (Dave) Swanson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Merle Rowley; his step-father Ed Sharp; his grandparents and his nephew Garrett Stephenson.
