George D. Schildroth, 86, of Reinbeck, passed away on October 14, 2017 at his home to natural causes. A private interment will be held at a later date. French-Hand Funeral Home is taking care of George and his family.

George was born on December 7, 1930 in rural Reinbeck, IA, the son of Aaron and Blanch (Russell) Schildroth. George attended school through the 8th grade and served his country in the Army. George was an infantryman and served a tour in Korea coming home and being honorably discharged. George spent his life on the farm, he was born, raised, and passed away on the farm to which he tended the crops and livestock and spent his life on. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing.

George is survived by his wife Lou Schildroth; children Dave Schildroth of Reinbeck and Edna (Dan) Gurney of Dexter, IA; grandchildren Aaron (Ashley) Schildroth of Reinbeck, Holly (Eric) Dean of Dexter, IA, Justin (Whitney) Gurney of Dexter, IA, and Kari (Lance) Murphy of North Liberty, IA; great-grandchildren Reese Schildroth, Wyatt Schildroth, Charlee Schildroth, Jaxton Gurney, and Addilyn Dean.
George is preceded in death by his parents and his son John Schildroth.
