Mrs. Thos. Salt died at her home in Reinbeck, Feb. 2, 1901, aged seventy-four years. She was a native of England, having come to America with her husband in 1853 and located in Rhode Island. They came to Grundy county in 1869 and resided on a farm six miles north of Reinbeck until 1877 when they moved to town. Deceased is survived by her husband, one daughter, one brother and one sister, and was a woman universally loved and deeply mourned by all who knew her.
