Ora Lee, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Shafstal died about 3 o'clock last Sunday morning, March 6, 1898. Beginning with a cold a glandular affection set in, and in spite of all that could be done his little life was called hence to the home of the Master. He was sick only about five days and through it all so patient. The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community. The funeral service was held in the M.E. church, Rev. Pooler preaching the sermon and Rev. Dye of the Presbyterian church conducting the burial service.

We know thou art gone dearest Ora,
And now we behold thee no more,
We believe thou art safe with Jesus
And safe on the evergreen shore.
