W. H. Hoeg, Long Time Resident of Lincoln, Dies
W. H. Hoeg, who lived at Lincoln all of his life, died in the hospital at Marshalltown early Monday morning. He was sick about six weeks. He was taken to the hospital on the 4th of this month. He was 68 years old.
Funeral services were held at the home and the local church Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in the Maple Hill cemetery at Gladbrook.
Mr. Hoeg was born just west of Lincoln and had lived all his life in that vicinity. He had been in business at Lincoln for many years, and at the time of his death was engaged in the implement business, the operation of a beer tavern and in a well drilling outfit with Sylvan Ames.
Mr. Hoeg is survived by his widow, six daughters, Miss Velma Hoeg, Mrs. Florence Jastroff and Mrs. Helen Nissen of Reinbeck, and Miss Mattie Hoeg of Des Moines, Mrs. Louis Martin of west of Lincoln, and Mrs. Ralph Schmidt of Lincoln, one son, Floyd of Waterloo, one sister of Wellsburg and three brothers, Fred and Claude of Lincoln and Howard of Reinbeck.
