Cedar Falls--Services for Carl H. Behrens, 88, of 420 E. 11th St., will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John American Lutheran Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery on West 27th Street.

Mr. Behrens died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 10, 1893, in Grundy County, son of August and Dorothea Stolte Behrens. He married Maleta Dick Oct. 8, 1919, at Maquoketa. He was the first Buick dealer in Cedar Falls, in business from 1925 to 1971. He was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth and Dale, both of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Sweet of Rochester, Minn., and Margaret Kilman of Cedar Falls; one brother, Harvey Behrens of Cedar Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Esther Pahnisch of Nashua; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandsons and one step-great-great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home until 9 p.m. Monday and an hour before service time at the church Tuesday.
